Our clients include companies in the construction and chemical industries, food manufacturing, printing, the automotive trade, energy providers, care homes and housing associations.
Our services can be provided from our network of Team Prevent centres throughout the UK, or on our client’s site from our mobile unit which is fully equipped with the most advanced health screening and surveillance equipment.
Our services for business and industry are completely flexible. We can support you with a full occupational health package or you can select specific services to systematically watch out for early signs of work related ill health in employees who may be exposed to certain health risks.
Obviously a good proactive occupational health programme can help to protect your company against potential litigation claims for work related ill health. By establishing a ‘baseline’ when the employee joins the company, you can be confident that your employee is fit for the role and has not joined your company with a pre existing condition. On going monitoring and health surveillance enables you to keep a check on your employees health and ensure that they are not developing problems, which could be due to their exposure to risks or hazards at work.
Under some health and safety regulations there is a legal requirement for employers to provide health surveillance for their employees e.g.
- Noise and Hand Arm Vibration surveillance (Management of Health and Safety at Work Regs 1999)
- Solvents, Fumes, Dusts, Biological Agents and other substances hazardous to health surveillance COSHH 2002
- Asbestos, Lead or Work in compressed Air may be needed under specific regulations
- Ionising Radiation or Diving
- Night Worker Medicals
- Driver Medicals including Fork Lift Driver Medicals (HSG61 standards)
- Confined Space/Breathing Apparatus Medicals (CABA)
